Sustainable Building for Building Professionals

Rounded Developments Enterprises in partnership with Construction Skills Wales developed this course that can be run over different periods of time and in distinct three levels.

Basic

The basic introduction to sustainable construction course takes people who are new to sustainable building through a process of learning and understanding the basic concepts that underpin the topic. Due to the amount of different topics covered the basic course lasts between 2 and 3 days

Intermediate

The intermediate course takes a more specialised route and is adaptable to a range of professionals. This starts to get into the core of the different topics and explores in more detail the issues and solutions that are pertinent. The course lasts 2 days on average.

Advanced

The advanced level is even more focused and takes only one particular element and really delves into detail. The course lasts for a day.

Case study

This course ran in September and October 07 at the Eco-centre in Cwmbran. It was organised by RDE in partnership with Construction Skills. The course is designed for members of the Federation of Master Builders and other construction trade guilds as an introduction to the multitude of factors that need to be looked at when addressing the requirements of sustainable refurbishment and new build.
